Winfield Mutual Housing has been described as “the most progressive community in the state.”

Constructed in 1941, the community is made up of single story, bi-level, intermingled dwellings in a park-like atmosphere. It encompasses 105 acres containing 253 frame buildings housing 697 families. It is immediately located off of exit 136 of the Garden State Parkway.

VIOLATORS WILL BE ISSUED A SUMMONS!

PLEASE DO NOT PUT LEAVES AT THE CURB AFTER THE LEAF-SWEEPER HAS PASSED OR PLUG CATCH BASINS OR MIX STONES OR BRANCHES WITH LEAVES.

 COMPOSTING:  Leaves can neither be left on the ground, nor piled in the yard nor raked against hedges or plants.  If a member intends to use leaves as mulch, the leaves must be finely ground and mixed with soil to create rich humus.  In the event a member wishes to recycle yard waste, the organic matter must be stored in a compost container … There are a number of inexpensive compost containers on the market which are aesthetically pleasing and create rich, moist, consistent humus when used correctly.  No open compost piles of recyclables are allowed.

MEMBERS WILL BE CHARGED IF AN INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR IS REQUIRED TO PICK UP LEAVES AFTER

DECEMBER 15, 2021
